Hello, I’m Robin Sisk—your local Medicare guide, neighbor, and someone who’s walked alongside families during some of the most important moments in their lives.
Before I even talked about Medicare Advantage, Medigap, or prescription drug coverage, I spent over 15 years working in hospice care and senior living. That time shaped not just my career, but my heart.
In hospice, I witnessed how fragile and beautiful life can be. I sat with families as they made hard decisions, often while facing uncertainty, fear, and grief. While in senior living, I watched many residents and their families trying to navigate complicated insurance situations during an already overwhelming time. I heard questions like:
- “Does Medicare cover this?”
- “Why is this bill so high?”
- “Why didn’t anyone tell us this earlier?”
Sometimes, they didn’t even know what questions to ask—they were just doing the best they could in the moment. And far too often, I saw how confusion about Medicare coverage added stress at a time when families needed support and clarity most.
That’s when it clicked for me: What if I could help people sooner? Before things got complicated. Before a crisis. That question stuck with me—and ultimately changed the course of my career.
Becoming a Insurance Advocate With A Medicare Focus
When I made the leap from hospice and senior living to becoming a local Medicare resource, it wasn’t about switching careers. It was about continuing my calling in a new way.
I became a licensed insurance agent, whose focus would be on Medicare, with one mission: to help people understand their Medicare options before they’re in a hospital room or facing a medical emergency.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
Medicare isn’t just about insurance. It’s about relationships.
It’s about listening closely, asking the right questions, and making sure people feel seen—not just sold to. It’s about giving clients peace of mind, confidence, and a real person to call when things get confusing.
I meet with people every day who feel overwhelmed or frustrated by all the mail, commercials, and conflicting advice out there. Some are just turning 65. Others are retiring or losing employer coverage. Some are helping a parent or spouse figure it all out. Many are afraid of making a mistake that could cost them money—or worse, delay care. That’s where I come in.
Real Help from Someone You Know
When you work with me, you’re not calling a 1-800 number.
You’re not entering your information into a random website.
You’re meeting with someone who lives and works right here in Kettering, Ohio—someone who knows the local hospitals, doctors, pharmacies, and plans that actually work for people in our community.
I’ll take the time to get to know your situation—your health, your doctors, your medications, your concerns—and walk you through all your options. We’ll talk about the difference between Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medigap. I’ll explain things in plain language. And I’ll always be honest with you. My promises to you
- You’ll never be pressured.
- You will never feel rushed
- You will always be treated like family.
- I will help you make hard decisions with compassion and clarity.
- I will make sure you feel supported and empowered.
- I will ALWAYS believe that people come first—and the paperwork second.
Helping someone choose the right Medicare plan might not seem as emotional as hospice or senior living, but it often carries just as much weight. Because your healthcare decisions matter—especially as we age. And the earlier we understand our options, the more empowered we are to live well, stay healthy, and avoid unnecessary stress.
